I always have good intentions for posting and then next thing I know, I've missed both the Foliage Follow Up and Bloom Day. This month I'm combining both!

I know that's a grainy shot of the Chocolate Mimosa, but I couldn't resist posting it. I love how the leaves look perforated.

Huge thanks to Carol of
May Dreams Gardens for hosting Garden Blogger's Bloom Day on the 15th of every month, and to Pam Penick of
Digging for hosting the monthly Foliage Follow Up on the 16th! (Be sure to stop by Pam's site to say your farewells to Moby, and meet Moby Jr!)
At one time, I had a Passion Vine, but no more.
ReplyDeleteYours is lovely!
Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!
Thanks Lea, you too! It's my 2nd one in that spot; last year's got eaten completely by caterpillars! I know they'll descend upon it again this year but hopefully it will be big enough to bounce back!
DeleteLove the Chocolate Mimosa! Your 'Sum and Substance' looks great too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Janice! I've read that this particular hosta gets pretty big, crossing my fingers that holds true!
DeleteI love my mimosa! I've ordered a Merlot Majik Mimosa and I'm expecting it any day now! Hopefully I can keep it alive over the Summer....
The chocolate mimosa is gorgeous and I love the passion vine.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Vicki!
DeleteThanks for sharing the firecracker plant. which is new to me. It looks like one I should find a place for. I've heard good things about that chocolate mimosa but frankly mimosas scare me. I inherited an Albizia julibrissin tree with the house and garden and have maintained a love-hate relationship with it for 5 years now. It's huge and makes a big statement in my back garden but it drops an unbelievable amount of litter and self-seeds as if world domination is its central purpose in life.
